Mission, Vision and Values

The mission of the 100 Black Men of New Jersey is to improve the quality of life within our communities and enhance educational and economic opportunities for all African Americans.

Our members serve as a beacon of leadership by utilizing our diverse talents to create environments where our children are motivated to achieve, and to empower our people to become self-sufficient shareholders in the economic and social fabric of the communities we serve.

We are committed to the intellectual development of youth and the economic empowerment of the African American community based on the following precepts: respect for family, spirituality, justice, and integrity.

We manage and achieve our goals through the four areas in which the 100 delivers our core programmatic initiatives. These program focus areas are designed to inspire youth, their families and members from the communities in which they live to develop self-reliance, to achieve immediate and long-term goals and to strive for excellence in the following areas:

  • Mentoring
  • Education
  • Health & Wellness
  • Economic Empowerment

We believe that “What They See Is What They Will Be”. Our formal and informal mentoring programs, the establishment of the 100 Collegiate Chapter at Rutgers University, our partnerships with other civic, fraternal and service organizations exemplify our commitment to communities throughout the State of New Jersey.

Our Annual New Year’s Gala, Health Fair’s, Economic Empowerment Workshops and popular Strategic Networking Forums embody the spirit of the New Jersey chapter.

We welcome your service, energy and ideas to enhance our success.
