Greg Parris joined McGraw Hill Financial in June of 2005 as Senior Director of Finance for Corporate Information Management. In this role Greg is responsible for core financial management and control functions, design and implementation of cost recovery methodologies, and financial support for strategic technology initiatives.
Greg has served as a mentor in the corporate sponsored mentoring programs and is a member of the Corporate Diversity and Inclusion Council. Greg is currently president of BEAM – Black Employees at McGraw-Hill, one the company’s employee resource groups. Additionally, Greg serves in the leadership of 100 Black Men of New Jersey, is a member of the state advisory board of the Salvation Army - New Jersey Division, and is a lifetime member of the National Association of Black Accountants.
Prior to joining McGraw-Hill Greg spent over 20 years in the financial services industry. Most recently as Managing Director of Parris Associates, Inc., offering management consulting services to companies with particular focus on the diversified financial services industry. Until 2000 Greg was Senior Vice President at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he directed New Business Development for the Procurement and Corporate Managed Services division. He joined Chase in 1988 and has managed various operations and technology functions within US Capital Markets, Global Foreign Exchange, Global Emerging Markets and Information Technology.
Greg received his undergraduate degree in accounting from New York University’s Stern School of Business and is a Certified Public Accountant. He also received his Masters in Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
